Rick Miller to deliver opening keynote at SERIOUS PLAY Europe 2026 Conference

After blowing attendees away at SERIOUS PLAY 2025 in Rochester, NY, Rick Miller is delighted to be invited back by organizers Paul Darvasi and Elisa Navarro. This time, they're taking it to the next level, as Rick will deliver the opening keynote at the inaugural SERIOUS PLAY 2026 Europe Conference in Mainz, Germany.

SERIOUS PLAY, now in its 18th year, is North America’s largest conference dedicated to games and learning, and an internationally recognized event. Its European expansion reflects a strategic effort to broaden its global reach and foster new collaborations.

Rick's keynote address is entitled Building the Future Through Play(s), an interactive performance blending storytelling, multimedia, and audience engagement. Drawing on his vast body of work as an interdisciplinary creator, it explores the role of play in human creativity and proposes it as essential to addressing contemporary social and technological challenges.

He'll also be meeting with attendees and arts leaders in Mainz, Frankfurt, Lyon and Paris, hoping to build relationships and secure future engagements for his productions, notably MONEY (premiering in 2027).
